49ers Dominate Bears in San Francisco Showdown. Purdy and Kittle Lead the Charge in a 38-13 Romp.
The San Francisco 49ers ran wild over the Chicago Bears, casually collecting a 38-13 victory as easily as my daughter grabs another slice of pizza at dinner. Brock Purdy played like he had fire in his cleats, completing 80% of his passes for 325 yards and making the Bears' secondary look as effective as a screen door on a submarine. His connection with George Kittle was as reliable as my morning coffee, with Kittle catching passes like a pro fisherman out on a calm lake. On defense, Leonard Floyd channeled his inner hurricane to sack Bears quarterback Caleb Williams three times, leaving the poor guy looking like he'd just tried to assemble IKEA furniture without an instruction manual. The Bears, meanwhile, found themselves playing a game of 'Where's the Offense?' which was every bit as successful as finding a mislaid TV remote. Coach Matt Eberflus's playbook will probably get a once-over, possibly with red ink, after this one.
